The Corporate Research Foundation has awarded Candor Technologies the Top ICT Company in South Africa. Candor shares the accolades with the likes of Microsoft, Intel, Compaq, Dimension Data and Vodacom. The Top ITC Companies in South Africa is a unique and in-depth study of IT companies who have shown the best practice management.

Drawing on the expertise of a team of writers from across the South Africa's IT and financial media, over 240 companies were originally nominated for the study. Companies selected range from privately run organisations to those listed on the JSE and multinationals operating locally in South Africa.

In the initial phase of selection, the company had to be financially stable, enjoy success in its markets, status and a good reputation, and show innovative strength. Key success factors in selection were corporate culture, strategy, human resources, technology knowledge and financial structure.

The report states Candor’s outlook as, “incredibly favourable owing to its focus on the development of software products and the acquisition of intellectual capital. The company has established a firm base in South Africa over the past seven years and is now looking to offer its products and services to a global market, which offers a huge potential for growth, although it intends to remain a South African-based company.” The report continues to state that Candor’s biggest plus is, “seven years of expertise, skill and development have resulted in a wealth of intellectual capital that is utilized in every product and service that the company offers.”
